 Rohit Sharma has created a rare record in world cricket. The ICC has officially named Rohit as the Tournament Ambassador for the T20 World Cup 2026. What makes this special is that Rohit is still an active international player, making this milestone extremely unique.


Usually, ICC chooses retired legends as ambassadors. But Rohit joins a very rare list. The only other cricketer who achieved something similar was Sachin Tendulkar, who once served as World Cup ambassador during his playing days.


This makes Rohit Sharma the first active cricketer of the modern era to become an ICC World Cup ambassador while still representing India in international cricket.
