Mahantesh Bilagi was serving as the Managing Director of Karnataka State Minerals Corporation Limited (KSMCL) at the time of his passing. Known for his integrity, discipline, and people-first approach, he earned immense respect across the state bureaucracy.


Before joining KSMCL, he had also served as the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Davangere, where his work was widely appreciated by the public and officials alike.


The sudden accident has created a wave of shock among colleagues, government staff, and citizens across Karnataka. More details regarding the accident and official statements are awaited.
